Context

I'm working to add information to specimens that were added to CoRA from LIMS for the Enoura Maru project. Some specimens have been sampled for DNA and this data is not captured (for various reasons) in the current upload, and I'm trying to add information regarding DNA sampling to these specimens.

Bug description

When attempting to enter the "External Sample Number" for a specimen, the possible entries match what should show up for "External Case Number" (see photo below). If this field is changed, it also changes the External Case number field.

See below for how "External Sample Number" differs from "External Case Number" for data pushed from LIMS:

Steps to reproduce

  1. clicked on DNA sample tab at top (specimen for which I tried to add DNA data in this instance = 2022-227:CS22-0405:X-546B:2.1 :: Mandible:Middle )
  2. clicked the "edit" symbol.
  3. attempted to manually enter "External Sample Number" but cannot enter a number that does not match the entry provided for "External Case Number"
