Hello, I am Çınar Civan. I am a science editor and author. I am an editor and author on various science communication platforms. I work with my team to make science reach more people. While doing this, we aim to always keep our projects and tools open and free to everyone.

I actively manage the technical and scientific affairs of the Sci-Hook Organization. Sci-Hook is a free science ecosystem with an international audience targeting free science and open-source. We established Sci-Hook in 2023 with Emirhan Gerçeker to bring science to everyone and produce scientific tools. We maintain and work on many scientific projects under Sci-Hook Organization. One of them is Bilimetri, a popular science and science communication platform in Turkey.

We will use all the revenues we earn through the GitHub Sponsors feature to develop scientific projects and make science accessible to more people. We transparently share all the revenues we generate and all the expenditures we make.
