It better to use airline. It's pure vim script,don't need python

Good point @welsonla, haven't used Airline before but it looks promising.

For those want it, my fork has vim-airline integrated and ready to go. Just make sure you copy vim/fonts/* to ~/Library/Fonts/ if using OS-X (as per the install instructions).
