Project Description:

The project aims to create a unified and active community within the Stacks ecosystem with a focus on the DeGrants program as the primary onboarding initiative. This involves developing the Stacks Link brand, building a team of Core Ecosystem Stewards, and implementing the Quarterly POW(ER) Awards.

Impact:

The project will foster increased participation, engagement, and growth within the Stacks community. It will also create a sense of belonging and collaboration among community members, both old and new.

The target audience includes builders, DeFi enthusiasts, NFT creators, BNS users, and the broader crypto community. Strategies include hosting regular spaces, facilitating educational content, rewarding the community, and leveraging social media for reach and engagement.

  • Distribute awards and recognitions.

Budget Breakdown:
Total Grant Amount: $4030
Time-based Remuneration: $40 per hour
Total Hours per Week: 8.38 hours
Total Hours per Month: 33.54 hours
Monthly Payment: $1343.33

Project Duration:
Ongoing from August to October.
The project will initiate and manage community growth through Rewards and Recognition Programs.

Project Challenges and Risk Mitigation:
Community Fragmentation: Addressed by regular events and engagement activities.
Financial Constraints: Managed through careful budget allocation.

Experience and Qualifications:
With extensive experience in community engagement and content creation within the Stacks ecosystem, I am uniquely suited for this role. My background in managing community-driven initiatives and fostering collaboration makes me an ideal candidate to lead this project and ensure its success.

As far as it can, yes. There is no code, but the work will be done with the community involvement.

Milestone 1 Completion: Stacks Community Lead

I’m pleased to report the successful completion of Milestone 1 for the Stacks Community Lead project.

Milestone 1 Deliverables:

Develop Stacks Link Brand Identity:

  • Logo, color scheme, and branding guidelines have been established.
  • Domain purchased: stackslink.xyz.
  • Website layout and structure developed using Squarespace.
  • Initial content published.
  • Twitter account optimized: StacksLink on Twitter.
  • Content plan developed for regular updates and engagement.

POWER Awards

Proof of Work, Recognition, and Excellence

Celebrating and honoring creators, builders, and community leaders who have made significant contributions to the Stacks ecosystem.

Categories:

  • Creators: Artists, NFT creators, and content producers who have contributed to the ecosystem through creative works.
  • Builders: Developers, app creators, and protocol designers who have built innovative tools, dApps, or technical infrastructure.
  • Community Leaders: Ambassadors, educators, and organizers who have driven community growth and engagement within Stacks.

Awards:

  • Top 3 Winners (one per category): $425 each.
  • Community Choice Award: $225 (voted by the community, any category).
  • Special Recognition Award: Badge on Zero Authority, awarded to an exceptional project selected by the council.

Judging Criteria:

  • Originality: How innovative or unique the project is.
  • Impact on the Stacks Ecosystem: How the project has contributed to growth or improvements.
  • Excellence: Quality of execution or development, including creative, technical, or community excellence.
  • Community Involvement: The level of engagement and support garnered from the community.

Submission Process:

  • Proof of Work Submission: Entrants must submit documentation showcasing their contributions and achievements.
  • Council Verification: Entrants must be verified by two members of the council to ensure authenticity and impact.
  • Attendance Requirement: Entrants must attend at least two spaces in October and present their work during the review sessions.

Promotional Strategy:

  • A comprehensive promotional campaign has been designed, including daily social media updates, spaces, and X threads to spotlight entries.
  • A media kit will be provided to finalists and winners for use in promoting their achievements.

Next Steps:

  • Finalize preparations for the voting platform and logistics for the award ceremony.
  • Engage with the community to encourage submissions and voting participation.
