Aliases Permissions

Hi,

I want to propose the idea of letting users create/delete aliases linked to their account on the same domain, possibly set behind a permission gate for each user.

My particular use case is that I want to let my family manage aliases independently. If they need a new one, they should be able to create one as a normal user without superuser/admin privileges.

Hi,

In Stalwart subaddresses (or plus addressing) are enabled by default. This allows you to receive emails in [email protected].

This is not exactly the same as a full alias but might work for you.

yes, this sort of helps for some use cases. for others though this doesn't help - for example, having an alias for your call name to your longer-named mailbox. it's pretzy managable for us on that small scale but flexibility would be nice as my brother and dad, for example, would like to separate specific applications into aliases not containing their real mailbox name.
but thanks a lot - subadressing still solves the majority of use cases! 😃
