Comparing envelop vs header "from"

Hi,

I am trying to ensure that the sender in the envelope matches that of the header.
This is the sieve script I came up with so far (I have totally no experience with sieve scripting)

if envelope :matches "from" "*"
{
if header :matches "from" "${1}"
{
reject "there is sender mismatch between envelope and headers";
stop;
}
}

1. Would this script be correct?
2. Somehow, when I use this script, it will crash the mail server - I'm running on RockyLinux and even re-running the installation script would not work (I have to reinstall the whole server).

Did I trigger some kind of bug?

Hi,

The error message is incomplete. Can you provide the full error including the location?

I wasn't able to get the full error as the service crashed and could never start again after that, so I reformatted the whole server.
I had Stalwart installed on a Windows VM, and using the same sieve script, it also generates an error when you save it.
However, this time, before the service crashed, I was able to modify the script (undo the changes basically), and save it once more, so that the service doesn't crash.

p.s. I also figured out the correct syntax for comparing envelope vs header sender/from.
