Describe the bug
No Live Preview Button shown When Creating New Page or Entry in a Collection. This bug has been around since at least 2.10.5.

Expected behavior
The live preview button should show when creating a new page or new entry in a collection.

• Statamic Version 2.11.20
• Fresh Install or Upgrade: Fresh
• Browser: ALL
• Web Server: Apache
• PHP Version: 7.2
• Addons installed: NONE

Does your collection have a route set? Without one Statamic doesn't know what template to render the Live Preview with and hides the button.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, collections always have a route set. And template is also set in the folder.yaml in the collection as well.

If you do a fresh install with the default theme, then delete all the entries in My Magical Blogventure, then create a new blog post, you'll be able to replicate.

Hi Jack, Are there any updates on this? Seeing as we will be on V2 for the foreseeable future, it would be nice to get this fixed. Thank you.

I completely understand than V2 is now in the rear view mirror and has no priority as all hands on deck for V3, but would really like to know if this is a bug that should be fixed or some sort of error on my part. Thank you.
