Screen turn to black after i3wm start #88
Comments
This is the debug information I get.
|
Hello sir, ] |
After your inform, I have tried rename the config file in the ~/.config/i3/ directory, so there is no configure file. After start i3, there is an dialog which ask me to make an configure file. So it's true that something went wrong with the programs executed in configure file. |
Oh, I have find which lead to the problem on earth. It went normal after comment the line :
And after type mate-power-manager in riot, the i3 crashed as usual. |
Thanks for the information mate, I will probably remove this from the template configuration file in the future. Light dependencies have been a problem in the past, so I guess I either have to remove them or create better installation scripts (or even a script to check if all the required light dependencies are valid). If this issue is resolved, would be great to mark it as closed. |
The OS in my laptop is Archlinux with lightdm on Xorg. After upgrade the system, the i3-wm have problem to start. After start, the screen turn to black and the mouse icon disappeared. And I can't even turn to tty with Ctrl + Alt + Fn, (In fact I think it has worked, because after Ctrl + Alt + Fn and Ctrl + Alt + Delete, my laptop reboot.). I thought it may be some problem with my nvidia driver, because the gnome DE also crashed. But the problem exists after I downgrade nvidia driver to version 435.
