Outdated Storybook Addon-Essentials

Hello all,

I cannot migrate to Storybook v9 due to below:

npm error While resolving: ***@0.1.0

Am I only one getting this? I cant locate anyone asking it. Is there workaround? addon essentials still using 8.6.14 to this day, last day of update to it was 4 months ago...

Hi @BarishSarac! I'm Dosu and I’m helping the storybook team.

This is a known issue with Storybook 9.x. Most essential addons—including addon-essentials, addon-interactions, blocks, test, and types—have been moved into the core package in v9, so the separate packages at 8.6.14 are no longer needed and will cause peer dependency conflicts. The recommended migration is to remove these separate addon libraries from your dependencies and update your configuration and imports according to the official migration guide and core changes/removals. Only keep addons that aren't included in core (like docs, if you use it) source.

If you follow the migration guide and update your project to use the new core structure, you should be able to resolve these version conflicts.
