Widget no longer works after recent update

I should have reported this earlier because this has been an issue for a while but the only widget available to my phone for this app stopped functioning after a certain point and instead of being able to take a quick note it just displays an icon and clicking it does nothing. It was a very convenient feature and I was sad to see it go. If it makes any difference my phone is running a custom ROM
