I set a custom toolbar for the editor. Then I needed something just once, that I didn't put in my custom toolbar. I changed to default to use it, then wanted to return to my custom one but it's gone, wiped clean.

Hi, I am unable to reproduce this. My custom toolbar is persisted even when I switch. between different presets.

I also can't when I repeat the same steps, even when making sure I use the tools not in my custom toolbar. However, I've experienced this twice, the first one quite a long time ago though. When I get how it works I'll report.

But for now, I found another trigger for clearing the custom toolbar: change to default/minimal, exit app completely, open again, the custom toolbar is empty.

Hi @ammarahm-ed , please don't forget this (still happens in 3.0.27) and #7372 (doesn't happen again so far tho)
