Unable to capture video in fullscreen mode #139

I ran into a strange problem - you can't take screenshots or videos in fullscreen mode.
Screen capture programmes get only one static frame, which was on the screen at the moment of switching to fullscreen mode.
I tested this problem on three different computers (two with Intel processor and NVidia graphics card and one with AMD processor and Radeon graphics card). All computers are running Windows versions 7, 10 and 11.

I'm not sure if DefOS is the culprit, but I don't have any other guesses yet.

The story continues on beta 1.9.3 as well.

Essentially, DefOS does not activate fullscreen mode, but a windowed ‘frameless’ mode with a fullscreen size.
This is exactly what i did in my engine that Legends of Eisenwald is written on.
But for some unknown reason, in Eisenwald any screenshot capture works, and even shows pop-up system notifications on top of the game window.
But in Defold it doesn't, even though the code is almost identical.

I can't claim that this problem is specific to DefOS.
However, the problem is serious and it is worth at least knowing about it.

This is something that should be brought up to Defold team.
