Text Selection not detected in composer

Hi,

I'm new to using super editor, and trying to use it for a new desktop app, currently, as in the examples, i'm wrapping the composer inside the doc editor. The toolbar is custom and is fixed and is not anchored at the text position of the editor, when any text is added to the editor, that does call the listener methods on the doc editor, but when we select some text within the editor the listener methods are not called, and the composer.selection returns null, code below:

    composer = DocumentComposer();
    composer.selectionNotifier.addListener(docListener);
    docOps = CommonEditorOperations(
      editor: docEditor,
      composer: composer,
      documentLayoutResolver: () => docLayoutKey.currentState as DocumentLayout,
    );
    editorFocusNode = FocusNode();
    _scrollController = ScrollController()..addListener(docListener);
  }```

and then listener

```docListener() {

    if (_gestureMode != DocumentGestureMode.mouse) {
      return;
    }
    final selection = composer.selection;
    print("document selected");
  }```

is a ValueListenableBuilder required to wrap the toolbar? the toolbar is not anchored with the text selection, as above the docListener is never called when a text selection is done(left click mouse and drag) but is called if i edit any text, maybe i'm missing something, appreciate any help
