Incosistent/Unpredictable support top offset. Sometimes larger by a layers worth.

What happened?

The support top offset can vary even when printing only one model. In some areas the gap between support interface and the model is as big as expected, while in other areas the gap is larger, most of the times by the height of one layer. This results in a bad surface area over supports.
