Use with symfony/cache?

Hi, what would be involved in switching away from using cache/redis-adapter to symfony/cache with it's Redis Adapter?

The reason is, cache/redis-adapter looks like it's not going to support psr/cache ^3.0 which is slowly becoming a problem as time moves on, and I'd love to keep using this package because it's so much better than the default Laravel tagging.

The problem is that the whole package is based on packages from http://www.php-cache.com/ and they became quite outdated. So I will need to switch to Symfony components entirely.
As I can see - Symfony has tagged cache and it seems like it is proper one. But workflow is a bit different. Maybe it won't be too hard to migrate after all.

Is this something you would be interested in doing? I can support with whatever I can. It still looks like Laravel's default cache tag implementation is weird, and no-one else seems to be trying to offer an alternative.

Can you test if Symfony's tags implementation works the way we expect?
