Performance Issue Description
Using the prompt inside Forge, both typing and moving the caret around feels laggy and slow.
Issue Type
Slow response time
Steps to Reproduce
- Start forge
- Type anything or paste anything
- Move caret around - press left arrow and hold
- Observe
Expected Performance
It's comparable to any other tool, or, ideally, as fast as raw console
Actual Performance
It's much slower than raw console. Fairly hard to measure but scrolling through "Hello world" takes around 1.45s in forge and around 0.8s on raw console (and that even including a pause after the first char).
