A brief history of me 📖

Click to expand! Since I was a little child, I've always been curious about technology, disassembling toys and other objects to see how they work. My mother bought us our first computer when I was 4 years old. Since then, I was always the "IT guy" at my house and between my friends. I began to design my own birthday cards to gift my family using the computer in a very young age and, a few years later, I was already able to proficiently use Adobe Photoshop and some Adobe Illustrator as well. When I was around 11 years old, I discovered HTML and CSS. Personal blogs were trending, and soon I was selling layouts for my friends at school.

I've also always loved math, especially statistics - which made me sympathize even to biology, while learning genetics at high school. At my Business Administration graduation, I've mentored students through subjects related do math and statistics, besides working at a research project to find out about the biggest problems faced by the local shopkeepers, and help them to solve it and develop their business. For my final course assignment, I chose to make a data analysis in my monograph, to define the influence of the base interest rate (SELIC) in the prefixed working capital loans (which you can access here). Later, I decided to do an MBA on Marketing and Business because of my passion for market researches and their use on business' decisions.

I worked as Administrative Analyst for 9 years, having the opportunity to work with data, which allowed me to develop a great analytical ability. Through the years, I evolved and informatized the data manipulation and analysis at this job, mostly using Excel automation, to improve decision-making.

In 2021, I started to study Python and SQL. I also took a Python Bootcamp provided by Stone and How Bootcamps, which increased my passion for the back-end development area. All the material we developed in this bootcamp are available in this repository. You can also check:

  • The maze solver robot that me and my team developed in the bootcamp's first Code Wars in this repository
  • The payroll app that me and my team developed in the bootcamp's second Code Wars in this repository
  • The REST API that I developed using Django REST Framework for the bootcamp's semifinal challange in this repository

I was one of the 16 people selected from the semifinal to participate in the final, which was the /código[s] Hackathon at Stone's office, in Rio. My team, which was composed by me, Renata Lobo, Silvio Gomes and Vitor Brito, developed a project to integrate a simplified financial management tool into Ton's (Stone's solution for micro-entrepreneurs) application.

Our project won First Place in the competition.

Stone published this video, which contains more information about the Hackathon, and some of my opinions about their iniciative.

In september 2022, I started working as a Back-End Developer at Stone's Credit team, having the chance to develop my skills in C# and .Net.
