To enhance accessibility and user experience for WritingTools, I would like to request read-aloud functionality using Piper TTS. Piper TTS is self-hosted and separate from this project.
Description
Current Situation: The current version relies on visual interfaces and text-based content.
Proposed Solution: Integrate Piper TTS for converting text to speech.
Benefits: Improved accessibility, enhanced user experience, better support for assistive technologies.
Implementation Details
API Integration: Utilize the Piper TTS API.
User Interface: Add a button to enable/disable read-aloud functionality and Export for later listening.
Text Selection: Allow users to select specific text elements.
Customization Options: Provide voice, speed, and pitch customization.
Thought I'd put this here because I love the project and this feels like the only thing missing.

Hi @Pheoxy !
Thanks so much for this detailed post.
I’d certainly love to do everything in my power to make Writing Tools more accessible, for instance testing it and trying to make it work better with built-in OS screen readers.
Since most individuals in need of this form of accessibility use their OS screen readers, I’m unsure of the advantage of bundling something like Piper TTS?
