Big Sur experimentation #36
Comments
for me not work, 7560u hd620 |
|
A 7560u does not contain a hd620, are you sure that is your processor? And please elaborate on your specs/issues |
sorry, 7500u |
Please elaborate on the issues, or move to my repo to create an issue (I'm suspecting the issue may be that you need to change your opencore device-id and ig-platform-id) |
installed |
Did you use the same EFI as OP? Can you share ACPI and KEXT? |
same ACPI,kext update, open config and see now have upd for BS beta2 with same efi |
Puoi condividere la tua cartella ACPI e KEXT con me? [email protected] |
enjoy it |
Grazie mille |
Hmm my installer crashes :@ Need to diagnose logs today. SIP is disabled... |
|
Sono riuscito a entrare in installazione, quindi riavviare in installazione, ultimo riavvio e sono bloccato: |
I think, if process usb start means correct configuration EFI folder. very important after insert usb for install create partition Big Sur apfs, maybe format entire disk e create .during the restarts one seems stuck but patiently you will see resumes and follows .what xps do you have ? processor, video, wifi etc you can send print hackintool peripherals. |
Dude, i thought it was stuck but you were right it resumed. I finished the install but now i cant see Big Sur partition in boot menu. Only catalina and USB installer are visible in OpenCore. XPS 9360 7500u HD620 DW1830 wifi 8gb ram, 1080p display etc. same as yours i think. |
ok, only wifi is different. at boot from bios do you start opencore.efi of usb as a new option? if you still don't see the Big Sur partition try to change SMBIOS in the config.plist from 14.1 to 15.2 / 3 |
Big Sur - Data is present but Big Sur is absent. I can see the volume in clover (from my Catalina bootloader). I will have to try other bootflags I guess. But installation is completed |
I suspect problem is due to installation on external SSD. |
I think so, I install on internal HD. you should change the flag I think in security / scan police but I don't know which one you test |
I'm using your install.zip to test, it loads Big Sur - Data but crashes on apple logo (over 4 hours). I might wait until clover is updated... |
Guys, I also can make it to the installer, but I don't see my SATA SSD drive. |
So I had to download CtlnaAHCIPort.kext to fix my problem. Now Big Sur Installer does see my internal SSD 👍 Still the Big Sur installer does boot random when trying to install. Does anyone have more succes? |
I have a Big Sur EFI with OC 0.6.2. Works perfectly. |
I've made a experimental EFI, more details @ the-darkvoid issue
Only thing that doesn't work is WiFi, if we can get that to work we can have a fully functioning hack!
(Please note that this is for the 7560u, you may need to edit graphics IDs to get stuff to work)
