We need to be able to control the robot remotely through a convenient and quick to set up interface.

Requirements:

  • Robot IP address is static using DNS server (e.g. https://www.noip.com/)
  • Robot boots into ROS mode selector upon startup (see issue Change how mode selection is implemented #22) which is controlled by UI.
  • A GUI for remote operation (webpage or android app with login)
  • Optional: a CLI for remote operation
  • Optional: fix/upgrade startup box

Desired outcome:

  • Anyone in the project can quickly boot the robot, select mode and the robot goes to work. One should not have to use Teamviewer or SSH.
  • Ability to stop and change operating mode
