Development Status - Aug 2023

Hi everyone! I've been pretty inactive lately, so I wanted post about where the project is, and what to expect.

My inactivity is largely due to being occupied with outdoor work, as I often find it difficult to focus on tech in the summer months. It's too hot to think! 😅

What stresses me out the most are the open issues. I know some of them are simple fixes, but I just haven't gotten my brain back to development mode. I learned at some point not to try making changes when I've been away for a while, because it's easy to forget how something works and mess other things up. Damnit Jim, I'm a gardener not a systems engineer!

I'm still very much dedicated to improving FDRS and adding cool new features. I'll be around to answer all questions, but I don't plan to make any changes myself until October. If anyone is feeling generous and wants submit fixes themselves, they are more than welcome! I'll be traveling some of the time, so it will be easier for me to proofread code than sit down and write it.

If you want to get on the cutting edge, please be encouraged to test out the new timekeeping feature that @aviateur17 has submitted in 'Pull requests'. If I recall, ESP-NOW timekeeping works flawlessly, but there are issues in the LoRa functionality.
