This has been reported by Liam Whittle

I installed and tested it in os x ‘sites’ directory and it all worked fine. I keep my client sites in iCloud and tried installing there. Install went fine but when I bring up the interface — ./tt in terminal — I get a blank screen. I tired hitting ‘U’ to update TTools and it gives the error in the attached screenshot. I’m guessing it doesn’t like paths that have spaces in them because iCloud path is “Mobile Documents” but the error is cut off at ‘mobile’.
I have client folders with spaces in the name as well, regardless of them being in the iCloud folder. Haven’t tested though.
