Sometimes it works; sometime it just shows three items:

When I initially click on the menu, it initially wants to make the menu much larger, but then it instantly shrinks down to just three items.

Seeing as how that bug has been unfixed for almost 4 years, you might want to consider employing one of the workarounds mentioned in that bug, such as comment 13.
