Shovill on Galaxy

just tried to use Shovill on the Galaxy server using two .gz paired end Illumina read sets - Trimmomatic on Galaxy handles those fine, but using trimmomatic output as input files for Shovill gave a vague read files error msg that said to contact authors - so I'm doing that here. Tried using original R1 and R2 data with trimmo option on, same error.
Not sure where to go with this. These gz files are handled fine by Geneious (I'm still using an old 6.1 version - it doesnt expire and it works nicely, even if newer versions are better!).
