The video queue should be organized by uploader's Twitch username #758
Comments
@The-Renaissance So, what do you suggest to do in Discord? Use the connected Twitch account? What if the Discord user didn't connect their Twitch account? |
No connected account you(BOT) suggest to do so |
@rexim Correct me if I'm wrong, to submit a video you must be a Twitch subscriber or trusted and both will require Twitch connection to be able to be used on Discord. |
@The-Renaissance right now to submit a video in Discord you just have to have at least one role (no matter which one). In Discord the bot does not look at the connected accounts (yet). So it's unclear how to "organize by uploader's Twitch username" in Discord if the user didn't connect their Twitch account. The only way I see that working is by forbidding to submit a video regardless of the roles if the user didn't not connect their Twitch account. Which doesn't sound like a bad idea. Maybe we gonna go that route if nothing better is suggested. |
Right now the video queue is organized by the nickname of the submitter whether on Twitch or Discord. e.g. Both "Nashesvobodnoye" and "nashesvobodnoye" are in the queue since they're different nicknames. Someone can abuse this just by changing his/her nickname frequently and uploading one video per nickname. Thus, their videos have a much higher chance of being chosen since the videos are queued under several different nicknames.
