The QtDMM version as specified in the License file is GPL-3.0.

Also, the files from Matthias Toussaint are GPL 3, not! later. You are of course welcome to use GPL 3+ for your original code, but a clarification in the Readme would be nice.

No - its a setting of your github project

I have no option found in the project settings. It looks like github will autodetect it.

You can try deleting the COPYING file and just stick with LICENSE
