Size information does not seem to be conveyed by tgcli, so it would probably be hard to implement before downloading. The code could check downloaded files afterwards and delete them immediately if they don't meet the requirements, but then you still have to download the complete file first.
At least it will not consume my precious HDD space. Telegram Desktop app has an option to limit downloaded file size, but it saves chats as html only, without resume or incremental save option, so I am still using thd.
Some videos and archives are pretty big in channels and user chats. Is there any way to sort them out?
