Error when trying to decrypt

This what I get when I try to run initialize my dotfiles with chezmoi.
I ran this command with bash shell which comes with git aka git bash.

• I have read chezmoi's user guide, and not found the answer.
• I have searched chezmoi's reference guide, and not found the answer.

Your decrypt-private-key.sh script is a shell script that only runs on UNIX-like systems. It doesn't work on Windows.

On Windows, you need to disable the script and either install your private key manually or write an equivalent Windows batch script or PowerShell script.

I'm not 100% sure. Bash complains that file(C:\Users\symph\AppData\Local\Temp\2282338352.decrypt-private-key.sh) doesn't exist.

Can git bash execute other shell scripts in C:\Users\symph? Does it need an absolute or relative path? Can it handle backslashes in filenames or do they need escaping or converting to forward slashes?

Sorry for the delayed response.
Seems like the path is the issue. git bash requires UNIX like path. So instead of C:\Users\symph it requires the path to be as /mnt/c/Users/symph. But if you run the script by launch the shell (git bash). Even Windows style paths with \\ ,\,/ are working properly.

Thanks for the investigation. It seems like git bash cannot be used as a substitute for bash on Windows, so the best option is to use a PowerShell or batch script on Windows.
