A work around if you're interested. You need 7zip or winrar. Open the .jar file with your archive tool. Go to META-INF, open mods.toml and delete

The mod works fine after and the menu options are still visible in embeddium.

Wrote a fix here (PR #66) that's more complete by updating the Embeddium dependency and removing TEO from some gradle files.
