I have some geophysical data taken along a surface track of known coordinates. The geophysical data is typically presented as a 2d "heat map" style chart with vertical axis indicating depth and horizontal axis segmental distance along the track. I would like to apply the 2d chart data graphically so it it presented as "walls" or ribbons into or out of the ground surface of a 3d map rendering along the surface track.
While renderpath might already have this functionality it is not obvious, I have not found an example of applying an image to a path ribbon sticking up from the surface or down into it.
