Plotting vertical lines in create.manhattanplot?

Hi all,

Does anyone know how to plot vertical lines (column grid lines) in create.manhattanplot? I wish to add vertical lines to separate chromosomes along the x axis.

I have looked through the parameters for create.manhattanplot and other xyplots according to the documentation, but none of the paramters I've tried have produced vertical lines.
ex) Different combinations of
# grid.col = TRUE,
# force.grid.col = TRUE,
# ygrid.at = chr.break,
# col.lines = chr.break,
# col.colour = 'red',
# col.lwd = 2,

I am able to add rectangles with add.rectangle = TRUE, but this is less desired unless I can use a border option while keeping the fill transparent, but I did not find this solution.

Alternative solutions could be to color the points with corresponding chromosome color or combining multiple plots together, but I wanted to ask in case anyone else has done this first.

Ended up using create.scatterplot and passing a vector to abline.v as Paul suggested.
