No xlab.axis.padding -- Potential workaround

In many (if not all) the BPG plots, there does not seem to be a parameter xlab.axis.padding to specify the distance of the x-axis label to the x-axis. There is a parameter ylab.axis.padding adjust distances between the y-axis and its label, though.
One workaround is to use '\n' to create an extra line of blank space between the x-axis and its label.

Please let me know if anyone knows a better way to address this, and/or if there actually is an option to specify the distance between x-axis label and x-axis. Thank you!

For create.heatmap() there's a parameter, axis.xlab.padding which enables users to specify padding between axis of plot and x label.
