For example, we have a few different sources that are all simply 'raw magnetics' or 'analysed magnetics', or a few different flavours of Thompson scattering.
Without worrying too much about aligning with IMAS for now, would it still not be worth grouping some of these together and trying to move to more descriptive names that the 3-letter tags (which are, themselves, the result of a mistake made by somebody in the 90s, btw)?
