It would be more logical to put the About button last in the list of options on the left of the screen.
This would be more in line with all software where About or Help is on the far right.

The Map background button is not very visible, as it can be confused with the map background used. I'd suggest putting a frame around this button.

The about button is more a Legend (caption?) button, but it's at the end of the list (just before the Plus button).

User tests show that if I hover over the i button and read ‘about’, I move on to the next one because I don't expect to find the caption when I read about.

Suggestion to replace ‘about’ with : Caption and credits

I find Aurelie's suggestion to replace “about” with : Captions and credits is very good.

This button is currently at the end of the list of default buttons, but when you display other buttons (favorite, measure, choose background map, etc.) the button is no longer at the end of the list.
I therefore suggest putting this button at the top of the list, as it's important to be able to see it easily.
