Add a Pin Main content menu with smaller size windows

The Current UI tries to be helpful and takes over the main viewable area

fig 2 showing smaller screen with no menu and no obvious mechanism to bring the menu back or pin the left hand menu open

This si a relatively simple user case to improve the UI for those on smaller devices
to make it more accessible it would need a key based short cut and the use tags etc
