Umbraco Commerce used currency inputs. I haven't checked, but I guess it for Umbraco 14 has just used uui-input or added its own components.
Mainly we would probably used it in commerce projects, but sometimes prices on regular non-commerce projects. Often a numeric/decimal field is sufficient though, but in a multi-language/country it should eventually be useful.
