Using characters like the ones below it should be possible to show minified maze, without player and stuff like that of course.

For special stuff, like player, goal and such we can use blinking, they won't be much distinguishable from each other, but at least something

We can use same system for maze generation screen, as background animation.

Also, it would be worth implementing braille characters as well as the block ones above and switching between them in the settings.
