Hello everybody!
I'm excited to share that I've just uploaded version 0.9-rc —our first release candidate!
As the name suggests, this means we're getting really close to 1.0.0.

At this stage, I'm focusing on stability. That means I'm putting a temporary pause on new feature requests and shifting my attention to refining what's already here. The tool feels mature enough now to serve its purpose well, and I want to make sure it's as solid as possible before the big 1.0 milestone.

I'd love to hear your feedback! If you run into any issues or have any thoughts, please let me know. Your input has been incredibly valuable, and I appreciate all the help in getting us this far.

the stats doesn't seem to work ot there is a misconfiguration. i tried setting it up accoding to the documentation, but i think the docu needs more details and the example YML should be more detailed as this is not enough to run it successfully in my test. for example the panel could only be accessed via /admin but then you see the dashboard without login first. if you click at some menu item then its asking you to login. also i created a link and even when it forwarded correctly it wouldnt track the click.

without setting ADMIN_EMAIL=[email protected]
ADMIN_PASSWORD=password as variables first the app would crash.

thank you for your feedback, I'll try to come back on snapp as soon as i'm stop at work as already stated in other feeds

The fact that you see the dashboard before the login is really weird, it should not happen as it rerouted on server side,
admin and password deserve a default, meanwhile on road to version 1 and real first release a refactor of documentation and docker is due.

i'm also thinking on removing the actual authentication in favor of a more robust approach like better-auth

I updated the readme file and the .env.example in order to provide a more robust introduction to the project.
also docker compose have been updated, let me know if there is something missing.

The app should warn on missing variable crashing on startup, should be enough to provide missing one.

The settings for Snapp are not stored in the database (sqlite) and should be stored as a key (.env). Previously, I had installed version 0.8.9, which contained the variable for VirusTotal API (VTAPI_KEY), which the latest version does NOT have. Please update this. The link in Umami under Admin Panel also leads to the Umami Cloud version and not to the self-hosted Umami session. In 0.8.9, I had connected Snapp to Postgres 16, which does not work at all with the 0.9 version.

the vtapi key is stored in db, moreover it check if available and display a ping in ui,
also the env is set on startup of the app, and in case is missing you can then apply it via UI.

i don't understand what is missing.

link under field is intended to be a redirect to main umami.is website, for people who don't know what umami actually is. i can put a button that actually open to umami in case the field is filled, if that is what you feel the need about.

what problem do you incur with about postgres?

Also tested umami and postgres, while i found some bug already fixed on umami payload, everything seems working as expected
