A common question is that how much of the 3D bundle adjustment setup can be applied to improve scene2scene alignment of mono collects.

  • This is not straight forward, as in-track stereo geometry (within 1 collect) is weak.
  • Key idea is to fix the matchpoints in the overlapping scenes in-track with a reasonable 3D world co-ordinate and then use bundle adjustment.
  • Would take some work with ASP functions to achieve this.
