Taskbar icons for open programs disappear from screen 1 when second screen plugged in #3393
Comments
Try the latest pre-release: https://github.com/valinet/ExplorerPatcher/releases/tag/22621.3527.65.5_6f6666b |
Hi. 65.5 still does the same thing. Also, just discovered - if I click on a missing app to restore it to the taskbar and close it straight away then one of the other missing apps will appear in it's place on the taskbar. |
Check using the console in explorer patcher. Open up the properties application for explorer patcher, go to advanced, and click on enable console. When it happens, copy and paste the output from the console here. |

If I unplug screen 2 with a window open on there that goes back onto screen 2 correctly when plugged back in then it says the same thing: |
Thank you. Please wait for a developer to respond. |
Hi. I tried a search to see if this was already reported - I don't think so but sorry if it already has.
When I want to use my second screen and plug it in through the firewire then all the taskbar icons for anything already open disappear. I think if it remembers that something was open on screen 2 that got moved back to screen 1 when screen 2 was unplugged then it does come back up correctly on the screen 2 taskbar. It's not a major problem, I just have to do Windows button + tab to bring all the running programs up and click on them to restore to the bar, but just thought you would like to know.
I'm on Windows 11 Home 22631.3737
I think I've included everything you need to know. Let me know if I've omitted something
Thanks
