How can I get the current state of the upload to show in a progress bar?

I'm new in php, laravel, and vimeo API, but already can do the upload to vimeo and show it in my web project, but the window stay static when uploading process... so, I need a upload progress bar... I tried with some ways that I found in the internet, but the most closer that I come was with the bar full in 100% imediately, and the upload happen normaly, but the page dont go ahead...
