  5. Introduction: Welcome to the Concrete Technology Lab, a virtual laboratory dedicated to the exploration of experiments related to concrete technology. Concrete is the most widely used construction material in the world due to its versatility, durability, and high compressive strength. It plays a vital role in the development of infrastructure such as buildings, bridges, roads, and other civil engineering structures. Understanding the behavior and properties of concrete and its constituent materials—cement, fine aggregates, coarse aggregates, and water—is essential for ensuring the safety, strength, and longevity of structures.

In this virtual laboratory, we invite you to dive into the fascinating realm of concrete technology—an essential component of modern construction practices.
7. Objective: The objectives of the Concrete Technology Lab are:

To recall the fundamental concepts of concrete technology and material behavior.

To understand the theoretical background underlying various experimental procedures.

To apply learned concepts in performing standard laboratory experiments on concrete and its constituents.

To analyze, interpret, and present the results obtained from experiments.
8. Course Alignment: These experiments are part of the concrete technology as per AICTE curriculum taught across the universities and polytechnic institutions throughout India, including (but not limited to):

Visvesvaraya Technological University, Karnataka
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University, Tamil Nadu
Gujarat Technological University, Gujarat
Kerala Technological University, Kerala
Rajasthan Technical University, Rajasthan
Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad
Dayalbagh Educational Institute, Agra
Amity University, Noida
9. Target Audience:

  • UG - B.E. / B.Tech – IInd/IIIrd Year
  • PG - ME/M.Tech
  1. Discipline: Civil Engineering
  2. Name of the Lab: Concrete Technology Lab (CIVIL P2) DEI
