point cloud linking

Hi,

Via the persistent particles we can link points along the time axis of a point cloud. I have a
similar need except I have two time varying point clouds and want to link across the clouds to see
how that distance varies with time. Another way to look at it is that I want to see the mesh
difference over time. I tried to create an expression to do that.

mesh_pt_vec => coord(mesh)
cmfe0 =>
(conn_cmfe(</Users/allen/Projects/Data/Sandia/SurfaceOnlyTest/iter_256_srf_0.visit:mesh_pt_vec>,
<mesh>)-mesh_pt_vec)

However, the issues is that the first value needs to change as the time slider changes. I tried to
create an intermediate

intermediate => conn_cmfe(<[0]id:mesh_pt_vec>, <mesh>)
cmfe0 =>
(conn_cmfe(</Users/allen/Projects/Data/Sandia/SurfaceOnlyTest/iter_256_srf_0.visit:intermediate>,
<mesh>)-mesh_pt_vec)

But that did not work either. The added complexity is that I am using a .visit file to point to each
time slice and the Times/Cycles are not accurate.

So how can I get the  first value to advance?

To answer my own question. The following works:

(conn_cmfe(</Users/allen/Projects/Data/Sandia/SurfaceOnlyTest/iter_256_srf_0.visit[0]id:mesh_pt_vec>
, <mesh>)-mesh_pt_vec)

For some reason the first time I tried the above it did not work.
