Ambient Temp from HA

Quick question on the interaction between HA and the Lay-Z-Spa Module.

How do I pass on the ambient temperature from Home Assistant to the module? I am using both the Ecowitt entity from my own weather station and the inbuilt card Forecast Home.

Make an automation like this. If using F use CMD:14. Or was it 16? Look in the manual.

Thanks. I created a script file for the configuration to call based on the coding provided. Changed the entity_ids to match mine but doesn't work for me. Changed the payload to CMD:14 (as per manual) and the actual temp toggles between 0 and current water temp and pump shuts off. My setup is in Celsius and not Fahrenheit, could this be the issue?

Coding is not my strong point. Might have to skip this feature. Thanks for your hard work on this project.

"CMD":14 is Fahrenheit
"CMD":15 is Celsius
If writing YAML you need to be careful of the indentations. Like the row topic: ... above is not indented properly in your example. But you don't have to write any YAML if using a fairly modern version of HA.

Thanks Visualapproach. Suspect the pasting of code was part of response. Here it is again as a jpg.
I have tried CMD:14 CMD:15 and CMD:16 all without success. There is no update to the ambient temperature.

I am running your latest code on a V1 PCB built a few years ago. Also running the latest HA.
All other features of the layzspawifi controller are working with MQTT except this. Would like to get it working.

You can trace this automation in HA to see what is going on. Found in settings- automations- ... trace
Look around and see if it errors or something. Also check your logs in HA for errors or warnings. (System/logs)

No warnings or errors in the HA logs. Cannot find automations - ...trace.
Should this code be in a script called by the config yaml or within the automation script within HA?

Cannot see any reason why it is not working.

Currently using a yaml file in the script folder called by the config file.
When putting all this into the config.yaml I get
