Variables like $el in Components not working?

Tried to use $el in componente function and method, but it's not working.
Is there a list of possible variables (like $el) and how / where it should works?

It works with @vue:mounted and @vue:unmounted, but not with v-scope (componentes / templates / html elements)?

I see an open PR, but looks not merged? So PR is not seen, not wanted or petite-vue a dead project?

It's possible to ship $el as param to component function.
Also this.$refs.myRef works fine, if an element is referenced by ref="myRef"

Petite-Vue have more features as I found in documentation... Needed much time to google out that and how it works...
Maybe it's because of my missing experience with default Vue ...

this.$refs works inside of components (function(), not ()=>{} shorthand...) and $el can be used inside of templates for example as parameter to compose methods.
