Node_modules deleting when run npm install

When I am running command "npm i" then node modules is created and then at last deleted automatically every time.
I am using ubuntu and already run below command:

sudo add-apt-repository --yes ppa:stebbins/handbrake-releases
sudo apt-get update -qq
sudo apt-get install -qq handbrake-cli```
