org-ref is an extention of original link in org mode, It make cross references more conveniently.

You can open this page:
https://github.com/jkitchin/org-ref/blob/master/org-ref.org

And search "label:" and "ref:" in this page, and "ref:" are all valid links when exporting to a pdf file.
