Warp won't open on Mint 22 Cinnamon. #5646
Comments
I'm having the same issue on Arch. It doesn't open right away like it used to and when it does it spikes the memory usage 5x. |
I'm having the same issue on Ubuntu 24.04. For me the app does start, but it is really slow. Seemingly the issue is that warp does not close the sqlite database correctly so it does recovery on startup.

I have two laptops both running ubuntu 24.04 and the same (latest) version of warp. One works as intended, the other has this issue. The first difference that caught my I eye between the two is that the one that works was updated from an older ubuntu (18.04) to 24.04 over the years and the problematic one is a fresh install. As a result of that, the machine that works has sqlite2 and 3 both available and the new one only has sqlite3 installed. |
Dupe Check
Describe the bug
I installed the Warp terminal on the latest Mint 22 Cinnamon in a VirtualBox VM. When opening Warp, nothing renders on the screen; only the taskbar icon appears. Launching Warp from the terminal results in a few debug errors.
To reproduce
Install Warp on Mint 22 Cinnamon in the VM and attempt to launch it.

Does this block you from using Warp daily?
Yes, this issue prevents me from using Warp daily.
Is this an issue only in Warp?
Yes, I confirmed that this only happens in Warp, not other terminals.
