(Investigating how to get remove those pages from the list now. but was mostly surprised by the change in includes).

hey @alexanderniebuhr.
before creating a separate issue, i wanted to flesh this out with more context.

i learned that the reason so many records are getting added (see #305 comment for screenshots) is because everything in my _redirects file is getting added.

  1. is this by design?
  2. is there an opt-out mechanism?
  3. if i opt out, what is the consequence?

Yes that logic is by design

is there an opt-out mechanism?

There is no opt-out of that specific logic, however you could provide your own _routes.json file
