Sorry for the late reply.
I want to attempt to run an experiment of bazel build of greyhound with scala 2.13.
I will update this issue the moment I perform it. hope I get to it this week...

Sorry to bug you in this issue also lol. This is also a bit of a problem for us in the future since we plan to migrate to 2.13 at some point and would be hard to onboard this lib otherwise :(

The code is already compatible to 2.13
